Casa Q's Story
A portion of all Turquoise Party proceeds will be donated to our
Non-Profit Partner Casa Q
Casa Q provides safe, affirming housing and comprehensive support services for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability in New Mexico. Through our safe house, Transitional Living Program, and wraparound case management, we meet immediate needs while helping young people build stability, independence, and hope for the future. Casa Q is often the only place where our clients feel truly safe, seen, and supported. Donations directly sustain life-saving services such as housing, food, mental health support, education and employment assistance, and crisis intervention. By giving to Casa Q, donors invest in the safety, dignity, and long-term success of queer and trans youth, strengthening not only individual lives but the health and compassion of our entire community.
Safe House:
Casa Q’s Safe House provides immediate, long-term housing for LGBTQ+ youth ages 14-17 who are experiencing homelessness or unsafe living situations. The Safe House offers a secure, affirming environment where youth can meet their basic needs while receiving crisis support, case management, and referrals to medical, mental health, and legal resources. This program focuses on stabilization, safety, and trust-building, ensuring youth have a place to rest, recover, and begin planning their next steps.
Transitional Living Program (TLP):
Casa Q’s Transitional Living Program supports LGBTQ+ young adults 18-22 years old as they work toward long-term housing stability and independence. Participants receive longer-term housing combined with case management, life skills development, education and employment support, and connections to community resources. The TLP empowers young people to build sustainable futures by strengthening their ability to maintain housing, pursue personal goals, and thrive as their authentic selves. Each client can receive housing support for up to two years where they have their own studio apartment and stability as they continue to learn and grow into adulthood.
